Serving the Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven, and Glendale communities, this park is a mix of natural treasures and manmade prizes with 500+ acres of options for visitors.
In contrast to its western part, the eastern park offers a serene setting, as hiking trails and 7 miles of bridle paths traverse the area's northern forest, gully, and pine grove. Horses, which can be hired at two private stables, provide a fun way to survey the environment.
Music fans know that the western portion of Forest Park includes non-sports-related highlights as well. The George Seuffert, Sr. Bandshell, which can accommodate 3,500 people, hosts free concerts throughout the warm season.
