Ridgewood

A Historic part of Queens is Ridgewood. With 2,980 landmarked buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is the largest historical district not only in New York but the entire United States. Here you will find early-twentieth-century attached houses and many Eastern European bakeries, restaurants and delis.

 

 

 

Local Organizations 

Ridgewood Local Development Corporation - Though the use of various cooperative economic development and economic utilization programs, the Ridgewood Local Development Corporation has serviced the diversified industrial and commercial communities of Ridgewood, Glendale and Middle Village since 1978.  

Myrtle Avenue DMA/BID - The Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) was established in July 1988 to provide supplemental services and programs for an enhanced shopping environment on Myrtle Avenue from Fresh Pond Road to Wyckoff Avenue in Ridgewood.

Ridgewood Property Owners and Civic Association - The Ridgewood Property Owners and Civic Association has served the Ridgewood community for 74 years.  It deals with quality of life issues, environmental issues, criminal activity and other civic issues.
