Although the first settlers were predominantly Italian, German, and Irish families, today Cambria Heights will delight you with Caribbean sounds and flavors.

Many residents from Haiti, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago have made this appealing neighborhood their home. It is not uncommon to come across Afro-Caribbean-owned businesses along the main shopping street, Linden Blvd.

This Queens neighborhood has wide, tree-lined streets and modest Cape, Colonial and Tudor houses. It may have been named after a coal company or a bank in Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
