Residents of Bayside and Bay Terrace enjoy the neighborhoods' excellent schools and prime waterfront on Little and Little Neck Bays.
On the opposite end of Bayside, starting at 26th Avenue, lies Bay Terrace, an upscale neighborhood of townhouse, condominiums, and cooperative apartments whose proudest achievement may be the preservation of Fort Totten, which opened as a New York City park in June 2005.
Another important green space is the Clearview Park and Golf Course, founded in 1925 on the western part of Bay Terrace.
While some savor the panoramic views of the bay, others prefer the convenience of the single-family homes overlooking the expansive Bay Terrace shopping center on Bell Boulevard and 26th Avenue.
